March 15th - 20th 1 spot left
May 2nd - 7th 1 spot left
6 days, 5 nights
TREK LEADER: SONIA or NICOLA
Price $900

4 DAY HIKE - 12-15kg Pack Carry
5 nights / 6 days in total
Length: 65km
Grade: 5
Style: Circuit
Start and End: Kunderang Trail
Location: Oxley Wild Rivers National Park
Closest town: Yarrowitch

The Green Gully track, part of the World Heritage-listed Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, is an adventurous 65km walk. This award-winning walking track is one of the best in NSW, and takes you on a unique journey deep into the Apsley-Macleay gorges, one of the largest gorge systems in Australia.
On the four day Green Gully track, you'll traverse fern-lined gullies, crystal-clear mountain streams, high-elevation forests as well as towering rocky outcrops. You'll share some of the terrain with endangered brush-tailed rock wallabies, soaring wedge-tailed eagles, and native marsupial mice.

Uniquely, there is no need to carry a tent as you'll stay in refurbished cattleman huts complete with rustic kitchens to cook in, stretchers to sleep in, fireplaces to banter by, rain water tanks and creeks to refill from, and outhouses to NOT put your rubbish in. Like any other wilderness walk, you’ve got to pack out what you pack in. Each hut with firewood, kitchenware, gas bottles, solar powered lighting and log books filled with stories, limericks and advice penned by all the weary walkers before you. It’s all incredibly civilised.
The Green Gully Track, is a chance to leave your wheels behind and explore a seldom-seen circuit within the Apsley-Macleay gorge system on two feet. Over four lung-busting yet eye-opening days, the track cuts a 65km loop through what were once private mustering properties owned and tamed by the Youdale and O’Keefe families for the latter half of the 1900s.

Putty to Little Beach Day Hike
Bouddi National Park

Sunday May 7th . 2023
TREK LEADER: AnneMaree
Cost $125
16 hikers

This is a full day's walk that highlights the many wonderful features of Bouddi National Park - from beaches and sea cliffs to inland tracks and sweeping views. From Putty Beach head down along the coast towards Bullimah Beach and Gerrin Point lookout where sweeping views beg for a quick photo stop. Continue along the coast past a cave and onto the idyllic sands of Maitland Bay beach before climbing up to Bouddi Point and the foot of Mount Bouddi.

What to expect
* 18.8km circuit track
* Over 500m ascent and descent
* Beach walking, undulating bush tracks, lookout points & sweeping views, numerous beaches, fire trail, rock formations

This 19KM DAY hike covers the northern end of Bouddi National park. Bouddi National Park offers spectacular diverse landscapes - from beaches and steep cliffs through to rainforest and heathland.

Starting at Killcare, we begin our day with a beach walk. We walk along Killcare & Putty Beach. We cut through Putty Beach car park and start our first climb to our first view point and then onto our first lookout, Marie Byles Lookout. Palm Beach can be seen in the distance.

From here, we continue into the bush along Bullimah Spur Track and then follow Stroms Trail walking parallel with Scenic Drive through eucalypt trees. These tracks meander through bushland with sweeping views across to the ocean and Maitland Bay.

We then turn towards the coastline and cross a spur taking us to our highest point on the walk, Mount Bouddi. The trail descends from Mount Bouddi to the Coast track just north of Maitland Bay. We pass another lookout point on the descent back towards the coastline.

We follow the coast track and then veer off onto the Old Quarry track before swinging back around to head to Little Beach, a beautiful small beach with one of the most scenic campsites near Sydney. We are just over our halfway point.

After a break, we follow the coastal trail back to Maitland Bay. The first section is inland taking us through rainforest, before bringing us to the coastline where we have sweeping views for the remainder of the walk. The trail is undulating. Just before Maitland Bay we will walk out to Bouddi Point for spectacular views south and down to Maitland Bay. We may spot the remains of the SS Maitland, an old steam ship that ran aground in 1898. When we descend to Maitland Bay, if the tide is low, we can walk to the shipwreck for a closer look at what remains.***Can swim here but this is at own risk***
